Phil Terry finally got his Nifty Fifty Chevy to the track at Hickory 3/17/12 . That's Phil trimming the left front fender after a little rubbing turning into the pits.
Jim Ivey Sr. got his new Galaxie racing at the Hickory 3/17/12 race. The 46 was moving up the field till a left rear tire went flat on him. Son, Jim Jr. also had a bad right front tire rub that ended his run early in the 45.
Chuck Thorne was running with us at Dillon last year, but with his new stock type bumpers, it really looks like a different stocker. Check out the Youtube attachment on the events page to see his spin.
The purpose of this club is to show fans the roots of modern day racing; recognize the cars, drivers, and crews of early racing; and to fellowship with fans and fellow racers. The main goal of the members is not to win or lose, but to have safe, clean fun! We really do run these old stockcars hard and have fun participating. You usually can catch us on a Friday or Saturday night on short tracks in the Carolinas. Most of our members live in the piedmont of the two Carolinas surrounding Charlotte, NC.
